Watch Osinbajo and Sanwo-Olu celebrate Ebenezer Obey’s 80th birthday with Pastor Bakare and other dignitaries in this video.

On Sunday, April 4, Ebenezer Obey-Fabiyi celebrated his 80th birthday, and he was joined by family and friends to mark the occasion.

High-profile dignitaries and veteran musicians attended the event, which was dubbed “A Day of Honour for the Living Music Legend.”

Decross Gospel Mission, Lagos, was packed with dignitaries, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, King Sunny Adegeye, Pastor Tunde Bakare, Pastor Joseph Adelakun (Baba Ayewa), and many others, to celebrate Evangelist Ebenezer Obey’s 80th birthday thanksgiving celebration.

His loved ones and coworkers all came together for a celebration of his life.

Video of his younger colleague King Sunny Ade, who stood by his side throughout the ceremony, can be seen online dancing joyfully to the song.

There was also a sighting of Shina Peters at the gathering. Ebenezer Obey was flanked by a Juju musician.

Obey’s birthday cake, however, was the star of the show. The 80-year-old man couldn’t contain his excitement when he discovered dollar bills tucked away in his birthday cake.

The Ovation magazine CEO, Dele Momodu, helped the Juju veteran pull out the money as he kept exclaiming.
